From “Exhibiting” to “Defining the Future” | Bloomage Unveils ECM Aging Intervention Center at the 6th CICPE

2026.04.20

The 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) was held in Haikou, Hainan, China, from April 13 to 18, 2026, under the theme “Opening Up for Global Consumption, Innovation for a Better Life.” The event brought together more than 3,400 brands from over 60 countries and regions. Bloomage presented its ECM Aging Intervention Center in the Duty-Free & Premium Lifestyle Pavilion (Hall 5).

This exhibition area, themed “Premium Consumption, Refined Living,” featured leading global beauty brands including Estée Lauder, L’Oréal, Shiseido, and SK-II. The pavilion showcased the highest standards of global consumer products and emerging innovation trends, connecting brand storytelling, product science, and lifestyle scenarios.

Bloomage’s ECM Aging Intervention Center aligned closely with this trend. Rather than simply displaying products, the space created an immersive scientific environment centered around the concept of “youth,” enabling visitors to experience and understand how youthfulness can be systematically constructed. This also reflects the next-generation technology direction increasingly valued by brand partners and collaborators.

ECM Aging Intervention Center::Beyond Products, Building an Environment for Youth

Bloomage named its exhibition space the “ECM Aging Intervention Center”—a concept that reflects an evolution in anti-aging thinking. Traditional anti-aging approaches have focused on supplementing specific ingredients—collagen, hyaluronic acid, PDRN, and more. However, recent scientific advancements reveal a more fundamental truth: aging is not simply the loss of individual substances, but the gradual disruption of the cellular microenvironment.

In 2025, the internationally renowned journal Cell identified extracellular matrix (ECM) alterations as the 13th hallmark of aging. The ECM functions as a dynamic network between cells. It serves as both the skin’s mechanical scaffold—maintaining firmness and elasticity—and a signaling hub that regulates fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis. Aging is increasingly understood as a multidimensional biological process involving complex molecular and functional changes across cells, tissues, organs, and systems over time.

The ECM (Extracellular Matrix) is more than a structural scaffold. It also acts as a protective microenvironment and information hub for cells, performing three key functions: structural support, environmental regulation, and signal transmission. The stability and integrity of the ECM directly influence cellular vitality and tissue health. Physicist Erwin Schrödinger once proposed that “life feeds on negative entropy.” From this perspective, the essence of anti-aging is not simply replenishing substances, but maintaining and rebuilding order within biological systems—ensuring that cells remain in a stable, regulated environment.

Systematic ECM Science: Aligned with Global Scientific Frontiers

Bloomage’s systematic approach to ECM science remains closely aligned with global life science advancements. In this evolving scientific landscape, the company is not only a follower but also an active participant and contributor. As one of the few companies globally with a comprehensive layout across key ECM components, Bloomage adheres to a multi-omics interdisciplinary research philosophy. This approach focuses on the synergistic interactions among ECM components, advancing anti-aging strategies from the “single-ingredient era” to the “systemic structural era.”

Bloomage’s Skin and Nutrition Science Materials Business Division has also introduced ECM-focused solutions, expanding the boundaries of glycoscience research. By integrating multiple ECM components—including Recombinant CollagenⅢ, GluHA, and N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid)—the company aims to reshape ECM structure, optimize cellular microenvironment homeostasis, and regulate cellular behavior and signaling pathways. This approach enables cellular-level skin regeneration and anti-aging solutions aligned with longevity science.

Science-Driven Innovation: Defining the Future

From showcasing hyaluronic acid raw materials at the inaugural CICPE to presenting the ECM Aging Intervention Center at the 6th edition, Bloomage’s participation in the Expo reflects continuous technological evolution and scientific advancement. Through ECM-based scientific logic, Bloomage aims to provide brand clients and manufacturing partners with a next-generation technological foundation for product innovation.

Looking ahead, Bloomage will continue to focus on frontier research in glycoscience and cell biology, deepen exploration of bioactive substances closely related to human health, and advance life science innovation—bringing healthier and more beautiful possibilities to the world.
