The Key Laboratory of State Food and Drug Administration Jointly Declared by Bloomage Biotech was Approved

Recently, The State Dug Administration identified and released the List of the Second Batch of Key Laboratories of the State Food and Drug Administration. The Key Laboratory for Quality Control of Cosmetics Raw Materials were jointly applied by Shandong Institute for Food and Drug Inspection, Shandong University (Cosmetic Research Center) and Bloomage Biotech (688363.SH) agreed with the identification. This was the first cosmetic raw material quality research laboratory of the State Food and Drug Administration.

It was reported that the main research directions of Key Laboratory of Cosmetics Raw Material Quality Control includes: researches on quality control system of cosmetic raw materials safety evaluation technology and quality evaluation system of plant raw materials and establishment of electronic information database of cosmetic raw materials.  The laboratory will establish a multi-technology comprehensive application and domestic leading cosmetic raw material supervision technology service platform, constantly improve the research level and ability, and help the supervision of scientific research to make new progress.

China is the second largest consumer of cosmetics in the world. Compared with foreign countries, China's cosmetics industry started relatively lately. Because of the weakness of basic research, the disconnection between scientific research and industrial development, and the lag of the research on efficacy evaluation system and quality control technology system, China's cosmetic market has been monopolized by international famous brands for a long time.

Especially in the aspect of cosmetics raw materials, some experts said that the imported raw materials of cosmetics in China reached more than 80%, and the domestic cosmetic raw materials were inferior in variety and quality.

In recent years, China's cosmetics industry has grown rapidly. Domestic cosmetics have risen in all around with the continuous development and innovation of scientific research technology and industrialization level of domestic enterprises. Domestic cosmetics raw material market is also growing, and a large number of domestic cosmetics raw materials companies emerge. The new Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics which came into effect on January 1 of this year put forward stricter and more detailed requirements for the control of raw materials and the quality and safety of cosmetics.

The Key Laboratory for Quality Control of Cosmetics Raw Materials were jointly declared by Shandong Institute of Food and Drug Inspection. Shandong University and Bloomage Biotech will fully integrate the technical research achievements of the government inspection institute and key universities as well as the advantages of enterprise R&D and industrialization, realized the complementary advantages of resources through the co-creation mode of production, education and research, so as to improve the quality of cosmetic raw materials and promote the healthy and rapid development of China's cosmetics industry.
